Congratulations Julie Chapman, Bookkeeper at Birkey's in Annawan, on 17 Years of Service
CHAMPAIGN, IL – Birkey’s Farm Store is proud to congratulate Julie Chapman, office manager at Birkey’s in Annawan, on her retirement after 17 years of service. Julie first joined Hatzer and Nordstrom Equipment, Inc. in the accounting department in 2007 and worked her way up to office manager. Birkey’s acquired Hatzer and Nordstrom Equipment, Inc. in August of 2008 and Julie has continued her dedicated service to the company since.
"I’ve worked with Julie for about 17 years, and I will really miss her efficiency and dedication,” said Bill Johnson, Store Manager at Birkey’s in Annawan.
Julie’s career began doing farm chores and learning to drive her father’s Farmall M tractor around their operation. After receiving her degree in banking and finance, Julie went to work as a bank teller and left as the bank auditor, newspaper office manager, and accounting clerk.
“I’ve always enjoyed problem solving and working with numbers, which lead me to enjoy doing the bookwork at Birkey’s," said Chapman.
Julie looks forward to traveling and sightseeing across the United States and visiting family abroad during her retirement.
“I am retiring from a really great place to work. I will greatly miss the customers, my teammates, and doing a job I truly love,” said Chapman.
