Birkey’s Farm Store of Shelbyville Hosts Summer Open House

Shelbyville, IL - August 2, 2018 -- Nearly 350 customers and their families poured into Birkey’s Farm Store of Shelbyville on Tuesday evening, July 24 for their annual Summer Open House. 

Vendors on display included Case IH, Geringhoff, Exmark, Kuhn, CNH Reman, Exide Battery, Fleetguard Filters, Headsight, Ingersol, K&M Manufacturing, Viscosity Oil and Birkey’s Parts & Service departments. 

“Our Summer Open House event gives us a chance to simply say ‘thank you’ to our customers and their families,” said Shelbyville store manager Scot Campbell. “It’s also a great way to let them see the equipment and speak with various vendors that we carry at our store.” 

The annual summer open house featured the Shelbyville Fire Department Smoke House fire safety demonstration and Soldiers and Dogs from Assumption, IL, a non-profit organization with the goal of preventing suicide among veterans of all eras who may suffer from PTSD, depression, isolation and other issues. Attendees also enjoyed a complimentary dinner catered by Niemerg’s Steakhouse and a bounce house for the kids. Local 4-H clubs assisted in cleaning up the tables and monitoring bounce house safety. A kiddie tractor pull was the highlight of the evening.
